Message from Kirloskar Group
Late. Vikram S. Kirloskar
More than a Century old, the Kirloskar Group is a household name in India. In the pursuit of developing indigenous technology and industry, the affiliation with TMC to form TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) in 1997 marked a significant beginning. Continuing the thrust to work for the growth of the Indian industry, the establishment of Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts Pvt. Ltd. (TKAP) in 2002 marked another milestone in our history.
Toyota has phenomenal technical expertise in auto parts and TKAP today demonstrates this global quality both in its facilities and products. TKAP, as an established manufacturer of transmission and engines, is now well set to become one of India’s leading auto component companies.
Managing Director's Message

Managing Director
The Indian automotive landscape has undergone a tectonic shift since 2022. Today, as a US$ 300 billion industry and the world’s third-largest auto-component hub, India is no longer just a “cost-efficient” manufacturing base; we are a global powerhouse of precision engineering and sustainable innovation. This transformation is fueled by numerous factors like the inherent cost advantages, vast human talent, established supply chain and a growing domestic demand. However, the biggest influence continues to be the favorable Govt. Policies and Schemes.
India continues to grow as a global hub for manufacturing, as seen in the 3% share in Global Components markets. In line with this, at TKAP, we have transitioned from reacting to global trends to leading them from the forefront. Having successfully navigated the evolving regulatory environment and the initial surge of electrification, we are now focused on the next set of challenges.
TKAP has already earned a unique position as the “Electrification Hub for the Toyota’s Regional & Global Ambitions.” We continue to leverage this position by drawing on the advanced technological strengths of Toyota and Aisin to offer cutting-edge, electrified powertrain units that exceed customer expectations.
We envision ourselves to be a “Human-Centric Future Factory” where we build a resilient base towards the Multi-Pathway future by building “ever better units” together with our partners, our employees, and their families towards our vision – WIN INDIA, WIN THE WORLD.
